Sadio Mane has told Jurgen Klopp he wants to feature for Liverpool against Chelsea on Tuesday night according to Paul Joyce of The Times.
Mane was scheduled to return to Liverpool on Sunday but his flight was delayed and he returned to Merseyside on Monday night.
Klopp will make a decision tomorrow morning but the player has declared himself ready to play in the crucial match against the league leaders.
“He is a quality player,” Klopp said. “It is easier if you have him in the team or around the team than when you don’t have him. That’s fair.
“But it is not that he can decide games by himself or we should expect this.
“We came through December and most of January without Phil Coutinho.
“I spoke about a few reasons about why it was not good in January but I don’t want to think about the last few games any more."
Sadio Mane's return will give Liverpool a timely boost, Jurgen Klopp's side have lost three consecutive matches at Anfield.
