Arsene Wenger Reveals Carl Jenkinson's Personal Demands Are Holding Up Move Away From Arsenal

Soon-to-depart Arsenal man Carl Jenkinson is the only person delaying his move away from the Emirates Stadium insists Gunners boss Arsene Wenger.

Arsenal had agreed on a £7million deal with Crystal Palace to allow the right-back to move to Selhurst Park, but the deal collapsed as Jenkinson failed to agree on personal terms with the club.

Having enjoyed a successful loan spell with Sam Allardyce at West Ham in previous seasons, Jenkinson was keen to once again link up with the former England manager in order to help reignite his Premier League career.

However, despite being desperate for such a move, Wenger says the failure is down to Jenkinson himself.

"Only he has to agree personal terms but at the moment he has not managed to do that," Said Wenger, as quoted by the Daily Mirror

Contrary to the words of Wenger and reports of the deal collapsing, Allardyce hasn't given up on the signing of Jenkinson. Last Friday, he said:  "Until the chairman rings me up and says the Carl Jenkinson deal is dead, it is still ongoing for me."

Jenkinson has made just five senior appearances for the Gunners this campaign and has also been linked with a move back to West Ham United.
