Singer Lawrence Hill has been revealed as the lucky recipient of Will.i.am’s button-pressing accident on The Voice UK – and sure enough, he landed a place on the rapper’s team.
After a preview clip released earlier this week saw Will spinning his chair for a singer after accidentally pressing his button while attempting to wipe a doodle off of it.
Cue a somewhat shocked expression from Will: Not to mention his fellow judges: Since Will was the only person to turn for Lawrence, he found himself adding the singer to his team – but was honest when it came to admitting his mistake.
‘So check this out,’ he explained. ‘Sometimes magical things happen, that was a magical thing, before you went on I was drawing on my button.
The face I drew, if you believe in magical events, if you channel the face I drew, there was a smudge on it and I pushed the button harder than I should.
‘He added: ‘But then I realise he is pretty dope though.’
Yup, talked your way out of that one pretty well, Will. Although in fairness he did look as if he was enjoying the performance before the moment in question:
Never mind Will, it’s happened to the best of us.
The Voice continues next Saturday night on ITV at 8pm.
