Nemanja Matic won’t be happy with just one Premier League title win with Chelsea

Chelsea midfielder Nemanja Matic has revealed his personal desire to lift the Premier League title again as he admits he hasn’t won a lot in his career so far.

The Serbia international formed a key part of the Blues’ title-winning side of 2014/15, but also saw the side slump to a surprise 10th place finish after some woeful form last season.

Chelsea now look good to go and bring the trophy back to Stamford Bridge after being revitalised under Antonio Conte, and Matic is desperate to improve on his own personal trophy haul.

Now 28, the former Benfica man admits he’s running out of time to match his own ambitions.

‘I haven’t won a lot in my career. Up till now I have won just two (league titles), in Portugal (with Benfica) and the Premier League, so I hope that this season we can win again,’ he told the London Evening Standard.

‘Of course I have another winners’ medal in my sights. It is a good feeling when you win a title.
