England dealt Six Nations injury blow: George Kruis suffers knee ligament damage

Kruis will now miss England’s Six Nations opener against France on Saturday.

“England forward George Kruis will miss England's opening match of the RBS 6 Nations after being ruled out with a knee ligament injury,” an England statement read.

“Kruis will see a specialist tomorrow (Thursday 2 February) to determine further management of the injury.”

Eddie Jones though is hopeful he will return to action before the end of the tournament.

“We’ll have to wait and see what the specialist’s prognosis is, but we’re not ruling him out of the RBS 6 Nations at this stage," he said
